So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
Ministry Is War
Here are excerpts of what Paul Tripp said to 600 pastors gathered at the Minneapolis Hilton Hotel on Monday:
“Ministry is war. It is fought on the turf of your heart. Ministry is a glory war. Inferior glories compete with the most glorious glory. Glory-shift is a continual risk.”
“This side of eternity it is very difficult to keep that which is truly important, important in your life and ministry.”
“The ultimate purpose of the word of God is the glory of God accomplished through the worship of God.”
“What is the serpent selling in the garden? 1) autonomy 2) self-sufficiency.”
“No one is more influential in your life than you are, because no one talks to you as much as you do.”
“In contrast with physical blindness, spiritual blindness is blind to its blindness, thinking it is seeing.”
“Personal spiritual insight is the product of community.”
