Wednesday Connection

Campus & Location:
Downtown, North, South, Sanctuary (Downtown & North); 501 Bldg, Suite 112 (South)

From 6:50–7:45pm, adults are invited to remain in the Sanctuary after Connection worship (6:15–6:45pm) in order to join us for teaching and study on a particular topic. There is no charge to attend this study, and participants may join at anytime.

Nursery care and age-specific classes for young people (Preschool–Grade 12) are offered in classrooms (at the North and Downtown campuses only) during the same time as this study. There are also various other options for adults during this time; see the Web calendar to learn more.

  • Feb 10–March 24: Psalms Study (David Mathis) Songbook of the Savior: Learning to Live the Psalms” Join us for a fresh study of the Psalms. We’ll look together at the beauties and peculiarities of“one of the most familiar and most foreign books in the Bible” as we go verse-by-verse through the text. We’ll give attention to the various kinds of Hebrew poetry so that we’re equipped to study all 150 Psalms for ourselves when the class is done on May 5.We’ll also be discussing the role of poetry, music, and other artistic expressions in the Christian life.

North Campus:

  • Jan 13: 2 Thessalonians Study begins (Jason Abell) Please join us for this verse-by-verse study of 2 Thessalonians. Our desire is to dig deep and understand what Paul meant when writing to the young church in Thessolonica. This Book contains many big questions about the "Day of the Lord," but we don't want this to overshadow the care Paul had for the Thessalonians, nor the way in which he pastored them by encouraging them in their suffering, and exhorting the lazy among them.
  • Jan 20: In addition to the 2 Thessalonians session in the Sanctuary, a Sanctity of Life presentation will take place in Room D505 (the gym). All are welcome.
