Disability Ministry: Francis Mugwanya has been led by God into Disability ministry. He himself has a disability. He contracted polio at a young age, and it affected his ability to use his legs. For many years, he crawled as his form of mobility. He eventually received a wheelchair and has had greater independence in his ability to move throughout his community. Many people in Uganda have a disability, and very few have the mobility aid that they need to move independently in the community. Additionally, people with a disability are often not treated equally by people in community, as previous beliefs of the cause of the disability and stigmas are still present. Francis and his wife have been led by God to help the people of Uganda who have disabilities by providing an appropriate mobility aid. In addition, they work to help the people of Uganda who do not have disabilities to have a better understanding of God's view of disability to encourage a more loving attitude toward these people.

Orphan Care: Francis has worked with Africa Renewal Ministries to help run an orphanage for approximately 150 children. The orphanage, called Bethany Village, emphasizes the role of family and community, as well as provides the children with opportunities to learn about Christ. Each child lives in a home with a host mother and several other children. Bethany Village also has a school, work opportunities, and health care facilities. Children at Bethany Village, and also those who are a part of Africa Renewal Ministries in Ggaba who live with their own families, can be prayerfully and financially supported by others throughout the world.
