Potential Constitution & By-Laws Changes Regarding Relational Commitments and Deacons

From our All-Church Quarterly Strategy Meeting July 27:

• Presentation of constitutional & by-laws amendments
  (Jon Grano presented proposed changes at this meeting in July, with the recommended action/vote to take place at the Annual Meeting in December 2008. Changes fall into three general categories:
  1. Changes (deletions) to the by-laws to clarify the deacon role at Bethlehem Baptist Church
  2. Changes to our Constitution to clarify the wording of our Church Covenant (read proposed Church Covenant)
  3. Changes to our Constitution and By-laws to add Bethlehem's version of Peacemaker's Relational commitments. (See linked documents for an updated "track changes" version of our Constitution and By-Laws, as well as a description of Bethlehem Relational Commitments document which will be incorporated into the by-laws by reference.)
